I think big and have been told that I influence others to do the same. I not only have experience in the corporate space, I understand start-up environments, problem solve through the lens of a business owner, and have worn more hats than I can count! I am proficient in change management practices, adult learning principles, and human-centered instructional design frameworks such as UDL, ADDIE, SAM. My digital toolkit consists of a wide range of technologies such as security software, CRMs (collaborative, operational, analytical), e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Vyond), Learning Management Systems, and the latest addition includes use of AI tools, such as Chat GPT, with NOLEJ on the horizon.
During the pandemic, I consulted numerous organizations to engage stakeholders, generate buy-ins, minimize security risks, and ensured that KPIs/OKRs while their employees worked remotely from home. With my guidance, business was not conducted as usual, but in new and innovative ways. Today, I continue to provide my consulting services at Literacy Solutions, as seen on major networks like FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. We specialize in blended e-learning solutions for professional growth. My team and I have supported over 428 partners with over 410 online course offerings. I am also an ambassador for Seesaw, an educational software company.
I recently held the position of Learning & Development Specialist at Helium 10, where I won an innovation award for improving customer retention and global recognition. As a leader in both HR and Customer Success, I facilitated positive change while supporting our cross-functional team members in their new hire orientation, product onboarding, sales enablement, customer support, product development, and DEI training initiatives. While developing the learning systems at Helium 10, I juggled competing projects and had the opportunity to scale learning to reach a global audience. For instance, I designed and facilitated dozens of needs-based, customized boot camps for over 100 of our new and existing team members in the USA and offshore. Based on data-driven metrics, the attendees achieved shared results by demonstrating mastery of the tools, which in turn had a high impact on our business goals.
I have conducted research in PreK-12 classrooms, teacher education, and corporate professional development. My work has been disseminated through various professional organizations such as IGI Global, the Society for Information and Teacher Education, National Council of Teachers of English, Literacy Today, and National Association for the Education of Young Children.
